    Product Review: Lansinoh Breast Cream

    By metropolitanmama | March 18, 2007

    Lansinoh Breast Cream

As a first time mom, I had heard rumors about sore nipples and other uncomforts associated with breastfeeding and the rumers turned out to be very true indeed. Thus, I was grateful to a savvy mommy friend who bought me Lansinoh Breast Cream.

Essentially, Lansinoh is an “ultra-pure, medical grade lanolin” with “no preservatives or additives of any kind.” Thus, you don’t have to wash it off or remove it prior to breastfeeding.

To use? Simply apply a bit of cream directly on to your nipples after nursing. Another method of application is to place a gob directly on your nursing pad before applying.

    OVERALL: 5 stars

WHERE TO PURCHASE: Target, Babies-R-Us, the BabyCenter store, Amazon, most maternity and baby retailers

    APPROXIMATE COST: $8-12

SIMILAR ITEMS: Medela PurLan 100 Lanolin
