Room-A-Day Giveaway
By metropolitanmama | January 17, 2008
Kimberly Clark (you know KC - they are the brains behind brands like Huggies, Kotex, and Kleenex) and The View are teaming up to give 16 deserving moms a great opportunity to relax, restore, and renew through creating a fresh, new space in their homes for them and their families. What that really means is you could win $25,000 to makeover any room in your house. This is your shot at a scrapbooking center, a home office, or a refurbished kitchen.
From January 28 to February 15, one person per weekday will be announced on The View and win $25,000 to renovate any room in their house. Contestants can enter the sweepstakes daily between January 12 and March 7.
What would I do with that $25,000, you ask. I’d probably set up a “media room” with a wide-screen TV, cozy seating, a play station with DDR (a little juvenile, I know, but it’s a great workout), and the new Apple TV system. What room would you renovate?

I think the question is, what room WOULDN’t I renovate?! I would do the kitchen, and then the bathroom, and then I would add a home office (I think I’ve already run out of money by this point!).

I would renovate my living room! Every piece of furniture in there is a hand-me-down or super-cheap, so I would like to get some good, quality furniture we could keep forever. Oh, and a new TV, of course

Wow, I’d love to finish my kitchen which has been in a diy remodeling phase for at least two years now.

oooo, thats so exciting to imagine!! I think I’d have to remodel my family room into a master bedroom suite with a private bath, (with TWO shower heads!! and jacuzzi!) and a beautifully organized walk-in closet. ….What a perfect world it would be!

Huh. My bathroom *and* my kitchen both need a lot of work!
