Nighttime dryness is a totally separate subject…it is achieved only when a child’s physiology supports it – you can’t rush it.”
In fact, did you know that “half of all three-year-olds and 40 percent of four-year-olds wet the bed several times a week. Also, 20 to 25 percent of five-year-old children and 10 to 15 percent of six-year-olds don’t stay dry every night“?
With those statistics in mind, it’s important to stay relaxed about nighttime dryness/bed wetting. Take the necessary precautions, clean up messes calmly and with a smile, and eventually your little one will wake up dry every morning.

Ha, this is hilarious…as I was changing my son’s sheets this morning…he woke up a little wet…and tore the whole water proof mattress cover off, I kept thinking to myself, “I have to get a little bed cover to make the process go a lot fast!” I just keep forgetting!

We stick one of those waterproof lap pads under our daughter’s sheet in the “target zone” in case of leaky diapers, but because it’s so small it’s not always in the right spot if she moves around…it would certainly be nice to have a whole mattress cover so we’re not gambling with it anymore! This mattress cover would come in very handy. We are expecting our third child next month and we do some cosleeping, especially at the beginning. What a wonderful product. I really do think that being calm about potty training is one of the biggest things to help move it along. This sure helps with that! We’ve used something a waterproof mattress pad as well as protection that just went over a certain area. I like that this not only covers the whole bed, but that is also offers such great allergen protection! I use special protectors on all of our bed pillows to accomplish the same thing — and think doing that for the mattress is fabulous!

Today my big girl is taking her first nap in her toddler bed. One big step leads to another and potty training gets closer every day. I actually need more mattress protectors since we now have 2 small mattresses to cover (although the crib may stand empty for awhile till #2 moves out of our room).

In 2004 I was diagnosed with MS and became paralized from breast down. I recently had an accident that the bed pad didn’t handle and nearly ruined my mattress. I have seen he Protect-A-Bed on TV and it appears to be a perfect solution.

Wow, could I use this! I have severe allergies, so have covered all the kids’ beds (hey, I spend an awful lot of time in there. lol) Plus, we recently found out my daughter (5yo, has never had a dry night) has a rare brain disorder that can contribute to bed wetting and a urinary/kidney problem. Well my son is getting ready to start potty training. BUT he is all ready taking his diaper off, even in his sleep. He mostly sleeps in our bed so this is a problem…

My son, age 54, is legally blind since his mid-20′s and has seizures due to 3 brain surgeries for malignant tumors. When a gran mal seizure occurs, loss of urine is a great possibility. Since this has happened during the night time, having protection on the mattress is necessary. Thank you for the opportunity to win one.

Like the fact that “Protect a bed” mattress cover keeps the bed bug’s from biting someone. Travel a lot, you never know what you mite been home!!!

As odd as this sounds I would like to win this for my bed not because of a child but because of my furchild! Our cat Frisky has feline leukemia and while he is doing amazingly well enought to shock the vets he tends to get sick in my bed at times so this would be awesome!

Oh, man, I just washed my sheets and comforter yesterday because of an accident. I could use this on my bed due to my twins who frequently find themselves in my room during the middle of the night. And, no, they aren’t potty trained yet, unfortunately. We’re still working on that. Kathy

I have a 2 yr old son who keeps ending up in bed with us. He’s decided to start taking his diaper off prior to doing this and this would be a definite help on some of those nights. Also have a 1 year old and a new baby on the way. With everyone having really bad allergies, we have to watch everything that comes in contact with the kids sleeping surfaces so this would be HUGE for us.

I have 3 dogs that sleep with me at night. Sometimes they have accidents, so this in Queen size would be really Great win for me. It would also be great for during the day in case my other dog jumps up on my bed and pees on it.

Necessary layers for incontinent adults: waterproof mattress protector, 2 large disposable tuckable pads, sheet, one washable tuckable pad! Cuts down on the laundry (for the most part).
Mattress and pillow protectors are also essential protection against those nasty dust mites!
Life is so complicated anymore, eh?

Well, I think I am too late for the contest, but I also wanted to mention that those mattress covers are also very nice to use until a child is old enough to wake up and hit the toilet if they have stomach flu, etc. Talk about one foul smelling mattress if you don’t have some type of protection on it.
