Good Reads
kevnjacks at You Just Never Know has been thinking about the time she spends on the Internet lately. I thought her post was important to reflect on.
ACOG “reiterated their long-standing opposition to home births” on 2-6-2008. I find this press release troubling since plenty of studies report that home births result in positive outcomes for both mom and baby.
It turns out ultrasounds aren’t that great at predicting baby’s weight in the womb. Don’t get scared off when the doc says you might be carrying a big baby. “For one in four women, the fetal weight estimation was more than 10% different from the actual birth weight of their infant.” (Source: New Zealand Medical Journal, September 2006)
