By metropolitanmama | April 1, 2008
Welcome to “Tuesday Tours: What’s Happening on the Web” where I serve as your tour guide and showcase the best contests, freebies, deals, and reads for moms on the web…all in one convenient location.

Win a pair of TummyTuck jeans over at Baby Cheapskate. The deadline is April 3. If you’ve worn these, leave your review. Do they really make you look thinner?
Too-too cute! If you want a tutu for your little girl, leap right over to Little Piddles (ballerina-style) and leave a comment before April 4.
Overdue for a date night (or “date day” - which is what we prefer - we hate to miss bedtime)? Win a $25 gift card to Outback over at iMommies. Leave a comment before April 4.

Good Reads
Need a reason to start a blog? Apparently, there are 91 other reasons before this one.

Cool Deals
Check out the amazing prices at Layers Clothing. Has anyone shopped there before? That shirt over there is $3 - $3, people!
Freebies
There’s a fun event called Baby Celebration coming to L.A. on April 12th and 13th. Tammy from A Mom in Red High Heels is giving away complimentary tickets. First come, first served!
Announcements
HAPPYBABY (”fresh frozen organic meals“) is searching for part time Community Marketing Specialists. The job is “very flexible based on personal schedule” and it sounds like the perfect position for a “parent or expectant parent.” Find out how to apply here.
General Mills has an Advisory Panel that you can join. You give them info, they give you free products. That’s the word from Jennifer over at iMommies anyway.
Disney has an Online Research Panel too.
Miscellany
The serious stuff first - this music video about sexual abuse and suicide touched me. The song keeps playing again and again in my head. I like the symbolism that is used and the emphasis on hope - it’s “never too late.”
If you enjoy LOST, you’ll probably get a kick out of this post, entitled “Top 10 *most annoying* Lost moments.” [Found on Sk*rt]
Check out the Ultimate Baybee Concealer Stick. Would you use this to help cover up your newborn’s “baby acne” or is that just too superficial for your liking?
Read this: Nation’s Largest Hospital to Ban Vaginal Birth. (Then, read this).

I’ll have to come back and follow the other links when I have a bit more time today, but I quickly read the most annoying LOST moments. FUNNY! Thanks for sharing!!

I always appreciate the chance to win SKRs! Couldn’t read the LOST stuff because we’re only in season 2 right now (online; thanks, I think you’re the one who got us stuck on it!). But I read the Concealer Stick and NY hospital ban things, and was simultaneously grossed out and thought they were funny. Good hoaxes, but grossed out at the unfortunate reality that some people would have no problem with that stuff. Thanks for another great tour!

Stephanie,
Thank you for highlighting my site on your “Tuesday Tours” - what an honor. I think Layers Clothing has some of the best deals too. I have a friend who hosts “tee-parties” and is a stylist for Layers Clothing and she swears by them. The quality is great and the clothes are cute for all seasons and trends. The sale prices are so nice, but can be limited as they are usually trying to move in their new seasonal collection. Hope that helps too. Have a great day.

Hey! I just saw the “shout-out” on here to my Lost blog post! I’m glad you liked it!
I really like your website, especially the pink and black theme. Pink is my favorite color.
