    Themed Weekend: Something for Mama

    By Stephanie | May 9, 2008

In honor of Mother’s Day, this weekend is all about YOU. I’ll be highlighting and giving away things that are decidedly for you.

Motherhood is magnificent, but it is also a lot of work and it can be overwhelming. After piles of diapers, loads of laundry, evenings of homework helping, afternoons of make-believe and mud pies, nursing every two hours – sometimes it’s nice to just feel appreciated.

That’s what this weekend is about – appreciating YOU. Happy Mother’s Day!

Call me selfish, but YAY! All about me! And although we have great husbands, Steph, isn’t it a bit of a bummer that holidays like Mother’s Day can’t be all about us, since they have to work half the day? Sometimes we have to kind of reschedule our holiday dates so that they work better for us. What about y’all?

I am all about a weekend for me. I would take one hour about me. Just had a bad day with my 8 year old son who was very ungrateful towards his Mommy. Tomorrow is a new day!!

      Happy Mother’s Day!

It’s nice to have a day set aside to appreciated. I’m lucky, though, as I have people around me that tell me often what a great mother they think I am. Doesn’t it just make you feel wonderful to hear that?

Happy Mother’s Day to you! Can’t wait to hear all about it-I’m all about rescheduling the holidays too, our Mother’s day just happens to be the same day as fishing opener in Minnesota. Thank goodness my husband doesn’t fish, but just about all my friends do and I’m usually (ALWAYS) throwing them a girls night at my house on Saturday night!

While I enjoy being recognized for being a mom, I love Mother’s Day to appreciate my two kids who call me mom. I just love them to pieces! Lately, they both like to say “mama” in a sassy way and run over and either hug me or sit on me. Usually it’s when I’m on the couch enjoying a moment of solitude. My life is just so much better having two kids on top of me trying to get “mama time”. (keep in mind I’m a stay at home mom and around them all day!!!) My husband just shruggs his shoulders and mimics them saying “mama”…wondering if he should let the dog over there for mama time too.
