BEST OF 2008: Rio pants by Fit Couture

Okay, so this is embarrassing.
I finished my “Best of 2008″ series last week with the strange feeling that I forgot something.
I just realized what it was.
I don’t know how the Rio pants by Fit Couture escaped my attention because I wear them several times a week. These pants are flattering, comfortable, and fun. The style is universally “becoming” on any body type due to the flared leg, the fitted “stretch” through the waist and thighs, and the black/espresso color options. If you’re petite or tall, you’ll appreciate that you can purchase the pants in four lengths (29,” 31,” 33,” 35″). Of course, they’re also machine-washable and the Supplex Nylon/Lycra combination really helps the material retain its shape.
I’m currently in my third trimester of pregnancy and they still fit perfectly. The foldover waistband is perfect for my “expectant state” because I can roll it over (below the belly button) or I can pull them up over my belly for added support.
Pair the pants with the Daytona top and you’ll be exercising in style…all through 2009.

Your description makes me want a pair and I don’t wear a lot of pants but these sound super comfortable and good-looking even on a older mom like me. So, I’m hoping to win so I can find out myself how great they are. I’d go with the longer length for my height.

Yay! I’m glad you forgot; they’re a fun New Year’s surprise! I bought some yoga pants a million years ago from Old Navy, but they totally don’t fit the way they should; the pants are huge in the belly but fit everywhere else. I try to pull it off by wearing it with a tight tank so that the tank holds the pants on and keeps my booty from hangin’ out when I bend over. I’m in dire need of a pair that fit, and I trust your judgment. Thanks!

I also love the fact that you can get them size medium AND extra long! On me, all regular pants are floods and all regular shirt sleeves look like 3/4. I’d get black on black so they match any t-shirt I’d put with them. It would really class up my lounge wear.

Espresso with an espresso waistband, 31 inch (regular), size XL would be my pick, I’ve never been a fan of the colored bands on yoga pants, nice to see a pair that offers the option of not having to have a contrast color if you don’t want one, Fit Couture has made my shopping bookmarks also. Very cute pants! I made the mistake of ordering a pair of maternity ‘yoga pants’ from old navy… they are the most unflattering pants. Where they should be shapely around your thighs, it’s a bunch of excess fabric, which only helps to make you look wider. Ack! I had to keep them, so I wear them around the house, but every time I put them on, I think about how much I dont like them. Oh well, only a few more weeks to go!

I have finally decided to do something about my weight. My neighbor even gave me a 1-day pass to the local gym, but, I have nothing to wear to work out in. Oh thank you!!! FINALLY,yoga pants in long lengths!! I’m doin a little happy dance over here. I know I sound crazy so I’ll explain. I’m a 39 yr old mother of 2 who has, let’s say….gotten a little loose over the years. So, I decided to start walking & working out. First of all, putting a lumpy, out of shape body into a pair of stretch pants is it’s own horror story….now, add the fact that I look like I’m ready for a flood…..and you’ve got a true, & VERY UGLY, tragedy here. So when I saw these pants & that you were giving some away, needless to say…..well, I think I actually heard angels sing…..clouds parted…..and now I’m doing my happy dance while typing this entry (but trying to not get the flub jiggling tooo much). Those do look comfortable! I can always use new comfy pants–especially great for exercising! The periwinkle color is my favorite :)
