Mother’s Day Giveaway Extravaganza {Win a Laptop!}

Some days, I think about all of the grandiose and magnificent things I could be doing to change the world. I could be saving lives as a medical doctor or teaching university students at Stanford or coming up with brilliant new technology ideas at the Google headquarters.
And yet, here I am – blowing noses, making macaroni & cheese, giving baths, singing songs, going on long walks to collect rocks, changing diapers, drawing pictures with sidewalk chalk, saying “don’t put your feet on the table” and “use your nice manners, please” and “would you like to wear your blue shirt or your red shirt today?“
Sometimes, it seems so inconsequential, so small.
But then, I realize that THIS is what it’s all about. THIS is what matters. Not my masters degree or my work or even this little blog. What matters are these two precious girls – the lessons I teach them, the legacy I will live, the people they will become.
This Sunday is Mother’s Day – a day to recognize our own mothers, to reflect on the kind of mothers we want to be, and to acknowledge the important role that mothers play in our society.

Wow…that is one cool laptop. My poor hubby and 3 boys all share my “old” Toshiba (which are GREAT computers). No one lays a finger on mine for fear of losing that finger. So Im sure they would appreciate having another computer to fight over. I’d love to pass on a Mother’s day treat to them. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

Wow, this is an awesome giveaway with so many ways to enter, maybe if i won i would understand how to do more of the ways to enter. Ha ha… anyway, it would be so nice to get a cool present like that for mothers day. I have to say though I do love all the silly pictures, bookmarks, and hand made cards I tend to get from my gorgeous children.

Wow, I kept reading and it kept getting better! And I’m going to be greedy and say, in honor of Mother’s Day, that if I win, it’s MINE, ALL MINE!
Oh I would love to have my own laptop, and I’ve wanted a tablet laptop since we were working together. I always thought it would be perfect for taking notes or display information during meetings. Of course, now I’m not working, but that shouldn’t mean that I couldn’t enjoy it now, right?

Wow! We could SO use the laptop because our 1 1/2 year old just died! Already! We couldn’t believe it. I use mine for writing–blog, books, articles–and I love the portability! My husband also used ours for school, so we could really use the new one!
This is my first Mother’s Day and I can’t wait to see how it goes!

I have been shopping around for a new laptop – mine is 7 years old and hardly working. This would be perfect for me, I love how the screen swivels and that it is so lightweight and portable. The bag is very elegant, I would be the most stylish mom at the local Starbucks (hmm, if I ever make the time to get there

Happy Mother’s Day! I would be pretty excited to with the laptop! I bought a Dell laptop a year ago to finish my Master’s Thesis and it’s been nothing but trouble!! 2 hard drives already in a year…needless to say…I’d be thrilled to win!

The Toshiba looks really cool. I have never seen one where the screen adjusts or where you can write on it with a digital pen for that matter LOL So neat.

Sweet! I would LOVE this laptop. My current laptop was purchased used and it is a dinosaur. It weighs so much that I haven’t been able to find a bag that will hold it and not dig into my shoulder.

Honestly, the thing I want most on Mother’s Day is sleep… usually on weekends I make Bob wake up with the kids at least one morning so I can sleep in but he’s had horrible allergies this spring so the last few weeks I have been out of luck on that. Whenever Bob buys me presents, they are horribly misguided (rollerblades, Crocs, a compass…) so really sleep is a better gift! If money was no object, a laptop would certainly come in handy since I am tethered to my desktop. Oh, wait- you’re giving one away!
The Portégé’s tablet feature would be especially nice for using while sitting on the couch having quality time and not looking like I was blogging… and I definitely appreciate the fact that the Portégé M750 series is eco-friendly: it was awarded elite EPEAT Gold status, the highest rating in environmental standards for laptops. So, really, I could say I was actually helping the earth by blogging and not be totally full of it.

I’m going to be going back to school this fall for my degree in nursing. A laptop like this would go a long way in helping me with my schoolwork.
I have a lot of guilt about going back to work while my son is so young, and we’re talking about having another kid, to boot! However, I know that not only am I doing the right thing for my kids in the long run, I’m also doing the right thing for them now. When I’m not intellectually and socially stimulated (and I need more than just mommy friends) I am not the best mother that I can be. Going to school full time is going to be hard, but I owe it to myself and to my children.

We just got the best Mother’s Day gift ever – to find out that we are having another son!!! The sonogram was this morning, and it was like dejavu (sp?). We were in the same ultrasound room, with the same technician, and found out that we are having the same sex as last time! It was truly amazing to see him moving on the screen!!! And we got a pic of this one in the same exact position as our little Matthew last time – with his hand up to his face seemingly sucking his thumb! It is truly a blessing!!!!! And we are so thrilled! This has made my Mother’s Day special!

I’m hoping for a well baby on Mother’s day. He’s too young to get or make me anything, but if he’d just get well, and let me get a decent night’s sleep, I’d be over the moon with joy. A laptop would rock, too!
I love this post, by the way. On occasion, I see what some of my childless college friends have gone off to do. I cringe for a moment, and wish I could do some of those things. And, then I come back to my senses, and realize that I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am blessed to be able to give up or put on hold some of my ambitions for the opportunity of raising my little boy.

While i have not yet made the jump to a laptop myself, i’ve been looking into it. This offer is pretty exciting, and i have to tell you that for a laptop bag, i’d be looking for a comfortable shoulder strap, something pretty yet functional, and something with a few extra pockets for all the necessary paraphernalia like cords and paper and pens.

Right now, I have a very old Dell desktop that only works when it feels like it. I have been wanting to get a laptop, but have not been able to come up with the extra money. I homeschool my 5 yr old, and having a new computer would really help us out with school.

Now for my words on Mother’s Day…
My husband asked me what I’d like to do for Mother’s Day this weekend and my honest response was – Sleep In!
So today- he let me get started on the sleeping in as I didn’t get up until 11 am! Isn’t he great!
We don’t have any money to do any gifts or even go out as he had spine surgery two months ago so instead we are packing a wonderful picnic lunch and heading off to the park for a wonderful time of just being together, enjoying the sounds of nature, and watching the kids play.
I’d seriously take something like this over flowers, cards, jewelry, or other things like that.
Now as for this computer- um… COOL! How neat is that to be able to turn the screen and even write on it. I think it might be the neatest thing I have seen today.

This is an amazingly generous giveaway. Thank you for the opportunity! For 28 years my mother has been my greatest teacher. Now she teaches a room full of second graders every day. She is an amazing mom and teacher, but she is also a gifted writer. With her youngest child graduating from college this year, her mom duties will be significantly reduced. She is also nearing retirement which will give her more time to do the things she loves, writing included. Hey Stephanie!! I love the pictures of the girls!! This is a great give-away!! We still have our dinosaur ancient laptop that we bought over five years ago that takes at least 10 minutes just to shut down!! So a new laptop would be great for the whole family, especially all writing that Kristen loves to do!! As for what I want for Mother’s Day…the best gift is to be able to spend the day with the kids, husband and parents – enjoying listening to kids scream and laugh while playing in the pool!! Wow! What a giveaway! I have always wanted a tablet PC because I think it would be an excellent tool to use when working with kids (although it would absolutely get a lot of wear and tear). It would also be fun to experiment with all the special things tablet pcs do. It would be an awesome replacement for my lame-o Acer laptop (which I would then def. pass on to my Mom!)

Well, for Mother’s Day, I’m torn between having a nice day with my fam (hubby and kids) and having a day to myself. I mean, after all, i spend time with my fam every day and it’s great. but very rarely do i have day to myself. I’d love to have the whole day to do my scrapbooking, sewing, etc etc. I’m a mommy blogger as well, so a laptop would be awesome!! never seen one with a tablet feature!! writing blogs could be a breeze with that feature!! awesome giveaway!

Okay, this is an amazing giveaway. I am excited for this mother’s day because my daughter is finally old enough to make me a gift all by herself. I have 4 beautiful wonderful children and love being a Mom. I am not expecting anything special for Mother’s Day other than to spend time with my family. My doctors office uses these instead of folders and paper and I absolutely SALIVATE whenever they come into the office (despite the fact that I am usually there for some yuck awful reason). Currently the “u” key on my keyboard requires the strength of a Herculain wildebeast to get it to type the darn thing so a new laptop would be fabulous. I wonder however in a house of 4 younger boys how long it would take for them to wrench the top off the bottom in an effort to show one of their friends mom’s new fandangly laptop? Hehe. Perhaps what I need for mother’s day is a loft, with a door that locks. Happy Mothers’ Day everyone!

Mother’s day is a tough one for me. It falls exactly between my wedding anniversary and my birthday. So, more often than not, I don’t want anything but a meal cooked by my husband, and peace and quiet. It seems silly to celebrate it beyond that, with everything else I celebrate around it.
I’ve been really itching for a laptop lately. I think the only thing that might top a laptop for me would be an iPhone… but that’s not happening in the foreseeable future. And for someone who seems to *never* win prizes… well, this would be SO much fun! Would definitely make the most memorable Mother’s Day of my life so far.

What an amazing thing to do right now before Mother’s Day!! If won the laptop I would give it to my Mother-In-law who was a very generous person when she had the means. She is in an assisted living facility and has faced many challenges and trials in the past couple of years. She has no access curently to a computer and really feels isolated from the world…what a wonderful gift for her. I believe in paying it forward. She would be so greatful to be able to check on her grandkids, as I blog about them daily on my blog.

I would love to win this for Mother’s Day as a present to myself because I would use this every. Single. Day. I am a blogger (and hope I could be considered more than just a “mommy blogger”) and a part time music teacher and I have had aspirations to be a writer for as long as I can remember. I’d love to have my own laptop to work on my stuff in the privacy of my own room or when I go out to a cafe to get some quiet (which is rare in a house with 3 boys!!). Anyway… this is something I need anyway, so to win it would be a major highlight of my life so far! Besides, I need something else for the boys to fight over.

Laundry isn’t fun, dishes are the worst, and I am sick of picking up toys off the floor of my front room. I have stretch marks everywhere, and I will never get back into my size 3/4 pants. But I forget about those awful things when my boys smile at me, and ask for a hug. I forget when I see my 3 yr old hug his little brother while the little brother smiles back and think I must be doing something right. There is nothing better than hearing a tiny voice say thank you mommy. No, I may not be president of anything, and I am not the smartest crayon in the box. I am not the trophy wife that we all sometimes wish we were, but dangit, my kids love me and I love them. Happy Mother’s Day everyone.

My friend Jessie is excited about her first Mother’s Day as a mom. As she should be. Memory-making days. The best days of her life, only sometimes she will be far too tired and busy to realize it. At least I was.
My kids are grown and gone, but we had some great celebrations back in the 1980s! Here’s what I do miss:
1. Those sweet little faces in the old family pictures. It’s all I can do to look at old pictures and not cry. There’s so much I wish I could do over and do better.
2. Mother’s Day with little kids: the soggy cereal, the half-cooked strips of bacon, a warm glass of milk, cold and overbuttered toast served by Chris and Kelly who were beside themselves with excitement. They’d pile up in the bed with us and watch me eat every bite of the best breakfast I’d ever had. What I wouldn’t give for that to happen this Sunday!
3. Having my kiddoes with me at church on Mother’s Day. It’s the hardest thing in the world to look out over the congregation from the choir loft and see all the moms sitting there with their children. Kelly lives too far away, and I have no idea why Chris doesn’t come. Probably goes to his mother-in-law’s church. It’s lonely, very lonely.
The kids will call. They always do. But today I wish I could go back to 1987.

Oh wow, this is an incredible giveaway!
Today, my son came home from Kindergarden with a present for me: A cookbook made by all of his classmates. It was so adorable because the kids gave directions for their favorite recipes. I think there were 9 versions of spaghetti. They also made up measurements: cookies with 1 cup of sugar, 1 oz of flour and 15 chocolate chips; casseroles that baked at 40 degrees for 18 hours… It was a riot. And after each recipe they said one reason their mom was special. I’m special because I can cook and I’m nice.
Days like this remind me that the messiness of motherhood is totally worth it!

This laptop would be an awesome Mother’s Day gift. With 3 little boys (4, 2, and 1) our laptop is my saving grace to the outside world. Who would of ever thought I would be saying that. We use our computer all the time for blogging about our Ministry and our Kiddos, Facebook, and News Letters. Not to mention my 4 year old loves to play games!!!! I pray that everyone has a blessed Mother’s Day and gets the best present of all and sweet hug and kiss from their little ones!

Last year was a hard mother’s day because all I wanted was a day away from the kids (Lily was a VERY diffcult baby) and that was the one thing I did not get. I did not get away for the kids at all that day, no naps, no 10 minutes of silence – nothing.
Now that Lily is older and not quite as bad and I am not dealing with PPD I would like to enjoy a nice run or hike by myself, a massage would be great but not needed, playtime in the park with the family on a super beautiful day, and eventually a nice dinner with my hubby (no kids for dinner). That would be a perfecr Mother’s Day.
The laptop is wonderful. We are almost to the point that I want a new computer but just have not gone that route due to money. I would love to be able to sit on the couch and blog (need to get wireless internet to do that first!). We also need a new computer because our current one is old and slow – but other than that for what we use it for it works great. So unless I win one I won’t be buying one anytime soon.

What I most want for Mother’s Day… is a Artist’s Oil Paint kit. I’ve always known I have a strong creative streak that has been mostly ignored my whole 40-something years. This past week I went to my first oil painting class, and fell in love! I’ve home schooled 3 children and am working on the last two of my children. I’ve been busy tending to motherly cares for over 20 years. But recently I decided to expand my repetoire of skills and do something I’ve always longed to do. So that’s what I want for this Mother’s Day – but I wanted to encourage some older, or perhaps not so older, mothers that the passage of time doesn’t have to mean the passage of lost opportunities to do something you’ve always longed to do. May your Mother’s Day be filled with love …and new opportunities!

This is a fabulous laptop that I would love to have! I’m really interested in the tablet functionality. That would make my stick figure drawings much easier to post. LOL! I have to say that what I would like most for Mother’s Day is to just be able to spend the day with my mom. Unfortunately, I’m not a mom to my own kids, yet…but I pray someday I will be.

I was in Panera today and saw all these fellow mommies carting their kids and diaper bags and high chairs and food to tables, eating with a child in their lap and one across the way. And I was just so overwhelmed by a sense of camaraderie with these women who I didn’t know. All I knew was that we were in this together. This juggling, hectic, amazing ride called motherhood. I am thankful for that!

What I most want for Mother’s Day is a job for my husband…it’s been 21 months of unemployment and we are really missing the medical/dental benefits and being able to do things we want to do…go to the beach etc. I work full time on a desk top computer at home…if I had this laptop I would work outside on the sunny days and watch my kids play.
I would love that! And if my husband got a job I could maybe work less hours and have more time with the kids…I would love that too! I agree with this post too…don’t let the time get away, cherish the children while they are with you and train them up in the way they should go! God bless and Happy Mom’s Day! I would love a laptop i might actually be able to keep up with blog then. Jack is always crawling all over me while i am at the computer, but if i were able to post anywhere i could do it while we are outside and then he could care less what i am doing! And such a small one that would fit in a cute little bag, now you are talking! As for a mother’s day gift, i think a night of uninterrupted sleep would be the best. but being 8 months pregnant i think we would have to send me to bed with a diaper on!!!

I have to agree with this post. You certainly are doing a great job in being a mother to your beautiful children. I very much agree with the legacy that you’ll be living for your kids. I also want to do the same for my future kids but for now, I really want to follow my mom’s example. For me, she is the best mom ever (no offense to you, of course). I was a prodigal daughter. But she still accepted me inspite of every huge mistake I’ve committed in the past. And I would very much like to give this laptop to her if I win. She doesn’t have a laptop and she very much like to learn and use one in making her educational books. She has been a teacher for more than 25 years now. She manually writes everything and she lets other people type it for her in another computer. I want to be able to give her something to make up for all the mistakes I’ve done. Still I know that being a better person is already a beautiful gift for her.

Thanks for sharing this awesome gift with one of us. So, since my laptop has recently started giving me the warning signs, like, oops, just decided to shut off, or close the internet, or freeze up, a new laptop sounds absolutely too good to be true. Our budget for a new laptop all depends on when this baby decides to go, so that pretty much means, “budget? what budget $ for a new laptop?” Thanks again for sharing this great laptop…and bag. What I want most for Mother’s day money can’t buy! My mom passed away 2 years ago and I would love to have her back just for 1 day. She was everything to me! I just miss her so much! I have 2 daughters of my own and they are PRECIOUS, and that means THE WORLD to me also! MOTHER’s and Daughter’s have a Bond that is inexplicable. YOU know that!!!!!

Well, I can’t imagine any other way to spend Mother’s Day than with my awesome family. sleeping in would be ideal, but then we still have to make it to the 0830 church service (reality setting in). meals not made by me that i don’t have to clean up. afternoon family nap. a hike to view a sunset from a hillside or at a local vineyard.

What I want most for mother’s day I can’t buy – for my grandmother to suddenly recover from dementia. But, absent some miracle, what I would really like is to sleep in and then enjoy the day with my husband and kids, but not have to clean up anything.

Oh my goodness! My laptop is having serious “issues” and is driving me nuts. I can think of nothing nicer for Mother’s Day than a nice new, highly functional and fashionable laptop with a nice carrying case.
OK, a relaxation massage along with a pedicure and manicure would be nice, too. But the laptop would last longer. *grin*

I know how you feel. Some days I wonder if I should be doing more with my life, but at this moment in time.. this is what I’m supposed to be doing with my life. And raising good boys is my difference for the world. One day it’ll just be me and my endless amounts of time, and I’ll miss this.

Wow, a lot of comments! Of course, with this prize, that’s totally understandable!
I love touch-screens. When I worked at Starbucks, the cash registers were touch-screen, and it’s so easy to use. Laptops are so great. They take up so little space! I can see this one being really fun for doing creative things–the touch screen seems like it would make doodling on the paint pad soooo much easier!

I am looking forward to a quiet day with my family on Mother’s Day. I told my two year old daughter I wanted her to say “I LOVE YOU” by Mother’s day. I don’t think we will make it. Wow! There are so many sentimental things that would be so special to get on Mother’s Day, that I didn’t even think of an amazingly cool, functional gift like this! I have been trying to start a garden blog and am finding myself tied to the house to work on postings. last year, i asked for a Dyson vacuum cleaner and got it…this year i’m asking for a quiet day as my life has been pretty hectic lately and i don’t even know where my head it. i feel like i’ve hit a mental block and the world needs to slow down…i think i will be sleeping in and let my kids (with help of hubby) make me my favourite blueberries pancakes in bed. nothing fancy this year for me!

I had spineal surgery a month ago. I am now able to move around a little. But I would love to be able to take a laptop to my chair and sit and search the web and blogs. It will be awhile before I can do alot of things so I get bored alot. It hards for me to sit at a desk because of my neck looking down. This would be a great Mothers day gift for myself. you know i am almost at the end of this phase of my mothering journey. my youngest (of 5) is now 10yo… double digits! what they all say is true true true- these years do fly by and they are gone before you can even blink. i am a single mom, who’s struggling to remain at home with my kids, homeschooling- none of us have it easy. i am often counseled to get out there and “live” more, whatever that means, lol. but you know what? at the end of the day, at the end of my life i want to look back and know in my heart of hearts that i mothered as well as i possibly could. that i gave my children the best of myself, the best childhood, the best preparation for their own lives that i could. i don’t want any regrets.
well didn’t mean to write a book, lol. i kinda just wanted to share this quote from mother teresa, which you’ve probably heard a hundred times, but it inspires me in my nose-wiping, toilet cleaning, time-out monitoring moments:

What I want most for mother’s day is to not be sick with this flu like virus, to go to a park in great weather and have a picnic with my family enjoy a wonderful day. After we eat and play I will rest under a tree and dream about what I could do with such a great laptop. Imagine, no longer getting alerts that I dont have the right platform to upgrade my flashplayer or adobe reader. No more being told I cant view a website because Im still using Windows ME. No more being told I cant upload a photo because my machine doesnt have the memory or storage capacity. No more hunting for paper when I want to make notes, all can be done on this amazing little machine that I can take with me and not be terminally attached to a desk in a musty laundry room!! We are actually in the market for a laptop. Hubby insists we need one since he claims I never let him on our desktop. I think he just picks a time when I am already on it
My son brought home a flower they had planted in Pre-K for me and a card that he drew in and he had to answer certain questions about me…He said I was 54 years old (I’m 32) and I weigh about 16 or 17 pounds (nope, not telling, but it’s more than 17 pounds…LOL). If I won, I would give this laptop and bag to my mother, who works with a community organization to provide assistance to families in need. This would be a dream come true. I go to work and school full time and my home PC has so many problems that I can’t even use it for school anymore. I am a senior citizen computer user. Sometimes when I am at the senior citizen center I will see someone looking at the PC they have there but when I offer them a basic course in how to use it they usually cringe and back off. I have taught a couple of folks and sorry to say they are now so attached to their PCs at home they don’t come to the center more often. I usually have to talk to them on messenger. Anyway I was thinking that is I had a laptop I could take with me to the center (I go for lunch most days at it is only $2 and you can’t beat that even at Micky D’s) and maybe folks wouldn’t be so intimidated by something they could hold in their laps and use. At least they would know it wouldn’t bite. Ha! Ha!

Wow! Melinda Jensen posted this on facebook and I’m glad I came over. I so agree with your post on motherhood. There are many tremendously wonderful things we all have to contribute to the world but by far the most important, the most critical, is what we give our children as we raise them to be good, honest citizens. I have three kiddos who are growing up so fast. Before I know it they will be grown and starting families of their own. I treasure my role as mother. It is the absolutely most important thing I do.

Hi, I’m a sixteen year old girl with a horribly stressed mother. I’m completely flat broke and am feeling horrible for not getting anything for her for mother’s day except ‘love’. She means so much to me since my dad isn’t here and I can talk to her about almost anything in the world. Since my dad is currently in Iraq and is not allowed the time to talk to her for more than twice a day, if even that, my mother stresses out all the time and even takes medication so she won’t become depressed. Ha, she calls them her crazy pills. She tries so hard to keep a smile on her face at all times even when me and my 14 year old brother Chris are fighting and yelling. She puts up with a dirty house that never gets clean.Our landlord decided lately that we rented the house ‘as is’ so he won’t fix everything that is wrong with the hous including: the dishwaher, the washing machine, the sinks, the windows, the closets, the toilets, the yard, the fences, the sidwalks, and many other things. So we are now currently in search for a new house in the same school district because she knows how much I love the schol that I am in now since we just moved here to Oklahoma in January. She doesn’t have a job yet because not many places will hire her if we are going to be gone for the first two weeks of June. My grandmother is constantly bothering my mom for help in her house that always looks like a tornado went through it which means that, since my mom is almost always over at my grandmothers, I barely ever get to hang out with her anymore. My grandfather is the worst problem ,though, because he has just went through a big heart surgery that I don’t think helped much because his heart still isn’t beating right which means they will have to stop his heart so they can re-start it correctly. If this doesn’t work, the doctor’s have no clue what they will have to do next and even though she doesn’t show it, I know that my mom is stressing over it because, come on, it’s her own father. I’m basically just wanting to brighten up her day at least this once. Plus my mother loves to get on the computer to play games or write, which she barely ever gets to do since my brother steals her own laptop almost every day so she never gets to use it as she likes. Thank you for listenting.

What I like most about this laptop is the indoor/outdoor enhanced viewing; it would be great to be able to see the screen clearly outside. I also love the style of the laptop bag. It’s much nicer looking than your typical laptop bag, and there’s plenty of room for necessary extras. This combo would be great for any busy mom, like me!

Oh what a wonderful prize this would be. Well My current laptop is almost 3 years old and in computer years that probably qualifies it for social security benefits. No bells and whistles on this old girl either so winning this one would be like getting a new baby.I think I’d spend a few weeks just getting to know it.
I carry my current lappy around in an old tote-no padding so I stuff an old towel inside so she doesn’t get too dinged. That laptop bag is only fitting for such a lovely computer!

For mother’s day this year, I’m being practical. I told DH all I wanted was some money to order a few pair of maternity shorts and a new diaper bag (skip hop) that I need.

I am not a mother but I have a wonderful mom. I was injured three years ago and had to have my low back fused. Then I had to have the hard ware removed. Thru this all I lost the ability to dress myself so my mother does that for me. I lost the ability to live on my own. For the rest of my life I will have to have someone help me. Thru this all my mother has been their for me. I would have suicide if not for my mom. We used to live in California and that is where all my moms friends are. She has no support where we live now. The only way she can communicate is through E-mail. Are computer blew its motherbord so we have to go to are bank to use the internet. I would really like to be able to give my mom a new computer. oooh, I could so use a laptop! I’ve got dial up internet at home. With a laptop, when I need a faster connection I could go to one of the local places where they have wi-fi. It would also make it considerably easier transporting a laptop than my desktop, when I go to visit my family on vacation.

Since Sunday’s not the best day for holidays for us, today is my Mother’s Day. It’s been excellent! I got several wonderful gifts, but the best one was the four minute video my hubby made of the girls dancing and playing, and both saying they love me and thank you and Happy Mother’s Day. So wonderful! I’ve watched it three times already. Despite that, I wouldn’t mind this cool lookin’ laptop as a secondary gift…
I like the look of the tablet part! I’ve never seen that before and wonder if my mac-loving husband might have use for it for some of his graphic designing. ??? Otherwise, my MIL is looking for a new laptop and this would be a great gift for her.

The beat Mothers day presents from Kids are homemade gifts! My 6 year old brought me home Friday from school they made mothers day cards and he remebered my favorite flowers are sunflowers so the card was filled with beautiful sunflowers! He also made me a special vase filled with fake flowers! It will always be cherished!

I think this is wonderful what you are doing. Being a mother isn’t always the easiest job, but where else can you work where you receive kisses and hugs all day long? I got flowers for Mother’s Day and my two kids have made me something that they won’t let me peak until tomorrow! That’s really all I want. The flowers are beautiful and I’m sure that whatever they made me, I will cherish for years to come.

What a great laptop and laptop bag. I love the ideal that the screen moves and is able to become a notebook. That would be a great plus. I also like the laptop bag. The Toshiba “Good as Gold Green Technology” is impressive! I didn’t realize that even a laptop could be green! Would love to lounge with this lap-top outside and not always be trapped inside when I am on the internet!

I was looking at some of the specs on the Portégé and was impressed with it having touchscreen capabilities, 2GB RAM, Super-Multi drive, and other features. This particular Toshiba laptop is so much better than my current desktop!

Well for now it is just a big computer sitting on my desk. It would be fantastic to have one that can go with me when I have to travel.

public libraries when we travel for the summer.

I do a lot of digitizing (creating embroidery designs that can be stitched on an embroidery design). I’ve heard lots of people say that the tablets make it SO much easier to digitize, but I’ll probably be 90 before I can convince my husband that I need one

This comes at the perfect time. My husband never wanted to get on the internet, nor had any interest. Now for the past week or so, he’s been bugging me and taking over my laptop. With times being what they are and with our limited fundage, it’s hard to just get in the car and go buy another one for him. I definately would benefit from this. He can have his laptop and do what he needs and I can take mine back and do what I need.
For Mother’s Day, I’m going to church, going to my Gram’s house to visit with Gram and Mom. Then the hubby and I are going out to eat while the little guy stays home with a babysitter. In between all that, well, I still have chores to do around the house…..but since I have Monday off from work, I plan on splitting it up. Tomorrow, I’ll just do the upper portion of the house and the laundry. Then Monday, I will do the bottom portion and the dishes. If I could afford it, I’d get a maid. It’s a never ending job.

My three kids are getting me “Mom” a seat to sit in that I can use when I go to the boys baseball games so my back has something to lean on when I sit on those uncomfortable benches. What I most want for Mother’s Day is a job. I work full time as a Mother and Wife but I miss working in an office. I miss being able to buy things for myself without feeling guilty from being on a tight budget. I miss getting up in the morning and grabbing that cup of coffee as I go off to work. Where I can complete mental challenges and feel a sense of accomplishment. To achieve something outside of a clean home and happy children. I don’t mean to demean any SAHMs, as they have a difficult and under appreciated job. I don’t mean to imply my kids are not wonderful and a joy to be around. There is just something missing from my world and a job is the only thing that has changed. What I want is for this recession to be over and to be able to work again.

Wow! I found your website on Rollo’s facebook. You are an amazing writer. Reading what you wrote and seeing the pics of your girls reminded me of how fast the years go by. I have two girls (17 months apart!) They are now 15 and 16 and it seems like just last week it was the first day of Kindergarten. I’m so glad I stayed home with them when they were little. Those years can never be replaced and it was a gift to spend carefree days at the park, making homemade playdough and even changing a gazillion diapers. Thanks for the reminder and encouragement to all of us moms to make family the priority in this busy, busy world we live in.

What I wanted most for Mother’s Day was a little relaxation. We are both out of work and packing to move into a 5th wheel, which should be an adventure with three kids, but I have a back injury and was hoping to just rest and lay around with my kids tomorrow. My husband forgot, my kids have done nothing but complain all day, we have relatives coming for a visit tomorrow and I doubt that I will have time to rest at all. Very depressing this year, but on the bright side, my youngest gave me a card yesterday that just melted my heart.

What I would love for Mother’s Day? A day to get my stuff done-by myself! I need to get caught up on some computer stuff (I do not have a laptop-I use a traditional desktop) and I would like to get caught up on my coupons (clipping and organizing from the last 2 weeks) and I would like to get caught up on some tv shows – all with no interruptions! And a bubble bath in the evening before Amazing Race comes on! Talk about heaven! And as for the laptop, I have wanted a laptop forever, and said i would buy one when our house sold…it’s been almost a year with no sale, so I am really really wanting one now!

The Toshiba Portege M750 sounds like a great computer. Toshiba is a good brand — my parents have a toshiba tv that has lasted over 15 years and 4 teenagers.

I too look at my two girls and know they are my greatest purpose. Loving them, teaching them and enjoying all they are. I almost went to medical school but wanted to stay home once I had my children. I had so called ‘important’ jobs before my girls were born but now my super important job is them!!

It wouldn’t be hard to use this laptop because my current one is quickly going down the tubes. I like the ability to spin the screen too because I am always showing things I find online to people around me. It would be a lot easier to swing the screen instead of the whole computer.

This tablet would make my life a whole lot easier…to say the least! I am not a typical mother, as I am a teacher. I get to have thousands of children throughout my life time. I have been using an ancient laptop for years and this new tablet would lessen my daily load, and help me tremendously with grading, planning, and life in general!

This is so awesome! I currently have a Toshiba laptop and love it but it’s almost 5 yrs old and getting slow and outdated. What I want most for mothers day is for the baby I am carrying to be healthy and safe and for this terrible Flu AND morning sickness to go away. I have been sick for 10 days straight with the flu and morning sickness so its been miserable but most of all, just safety for my baby. I have a 19 month old too!

My husband asked me last night what I wanted for Mother’s Day. I told him either a laptop (so that when we go to visit his family later this month, I can work from there) or an Ipod (so that I can put on all my kids music and get rid of all the old cassette tapes that is very hard to use these days. 3rd choice is a new cookbook.
His answer: “You’re asking for a million dollars. Most women ask for about $10-20.” Yeah, right! (He was laughing as he said it, bec. he knew it’s totally not true!
And it’s true that not everyone spends $1800, but he’s never actually bought me anything for mother’s day. So if you add up from all the years…. I think I deserve something nice.
(Oh, and for putting up going “on vacation” to the inlaws!)

The joy of knowing I am raising two great sons is enough satisfaction for me on this Mothers Day. While certainly far from being perfect, my husband and I have tried to instill values and morality in each of them, and we are astounded everyday to see just how well we’ve done. If I had my choice, I would reward my kids with the laptop instead of myself, as they are the one thing I am most proud of.

I would love this laptop to travel with. How cool. A laptop bag to boot?! Yay. I think a laptop bag needs to have 2 large pockets on the inside – 1 padded for the laptop, and a second that you can put papers, or other misc stuff you need to bring with you. Plus, it should have a couple outside pockets for the charger, your keys/phone/wallet, and pens, etc. Fingers crossed for this!! What a fantastic mothers day gift this would be. Thanks so much!

Wow! This is wonderful. I was just saying the other day that I would love a new laptop, since my current one is an old refurbished Dell. This Toshiba model is gorgeous! I love the features, as well as the fact that it can be written on, how cool and interactive! Makes my current laptop look seem very ancient! I am a writer working on my first novel, my laptop crashed last year and I lost a lot of my manuscript, so I would love a new laptop so I don’t have to worry about losing data again. The swivel screen would be great also because sometimes I write while in bed, so I would work on my book in a comfortable position and turn the screen to what works best for me. I’ve always wanted a tablet… theres something about the change in intended use style. Designed to be held with a smaller footprint than a folder, that actually seems like it’d be ideal during my 2 hours of commuting on mass transit every day.

Awesome prize! I soooo need a new laptop right now too. My ear drum ruptured on Tuesday night and I was trying to look up information on the internet, which took FOREVER on my 7-year old laptop. I am surprised the thing even turns on at this point. Of course, stuff for mommy is at the bottom of our family list.

A new Toshiba? Oh, wow! My ancient 486 (yes, it was that old) laptop blew out a controller several years ago and I’ve been laptop-less since then. I really miss it. And this one with tablet features, touch screen, and pen would make it so flexible!
How would I use it? Easy! I’d be able to write programs and design needlework in bed, on the deck, or on the road. Talk about increasing productivity! This laptop would guarantee it!

My laptop is acting flakey and rebooting itself so I could use a new one. I love the feature of the monitor being able to adjust the screen. I would use it for work and for home finances, pictures etc. It would definitely be put to good use. Thanks for the great giveaway!!

Today is a good reminder for me to be a better mother. We’re going through very hard times, and I feel myself letting my stress get the better of me. These are important years and it would be a shame to tarnish them by not spending enough time, or yelling too much.. Today is about them, not me.
This laptop would be amazing. I’m trying to go back to school for design currently, and this would just be beyond perfect. My husband lost his job and we are just a mess, so no budget for that sort of thing at all.

I don’t have a laptop only my trusty home computer, which I could not live without. So to be able to take it with me anywhere is just to good to be true. My mother’s day will be filled with phone calls from my kids and to my in-laws. The best part is getting chinese food delivered to my house, Yeah ! I take notes wherever I go. It’s just something that keeps me organized. Then I usually transfer them to my computer. With the tablet function, I’d erase a step! That’s so cool!
I really like the Phantom bag too, the 360° swivel shoulder strap with quick release adjustor is so smart in a bag. There is nothing worse than having the straps all twisted.

I like laptop bags that are streamlined. Not too many pockets or doodads please. Simple and functional. A place for the laptop of course and two pockets on either end for the cord and a portable hard drive.

I’ve always been intrigued with the tablet PC concept. I work with my SO and we travel quite a bit. With that comes a lot of business calls while on the road. I can envision using a tablet PC to easily take notes, such as phone numbers, orders, general information. I’ve read a lot of good things about the Toshiba Portege M750 and would absolutely keel over if I won one!
Since I’m not a “real” mom yet, I don’t really expect anything special today … but maybe my cats will give me a few extra purrs!

Awesome giveaway! Today is Mother’s Day and I got everything that I could want. My daughter and husband took me on a picnic lunch. I got a beautiful handmade card (made by both of them). My gift is an hour long massage at a spa which will feel so good on my pregnant, tired body. Now DH and DD are napping which is giving me a little me time. It has been the perfect Mother’s Day!

I would use the tablet functionality of the Toshiba as a touch pad. I guess I could be convinced to ‘write’ on it with the digital pen you described but I’d be nervous about that…touching screens though is something we all do, so I’m pretty comfortable with it. Happy mother’s day to all of us!

Today is Mother’s Day and it has been a really emotional day for me. What you said here: “THIS is what matters….the lessons I teach them, the legacy I will live, the people they will become.” That made a difference to me today. Thanks for making me cry!
That is something I tell myself every day. It’s hard to really believe sometimes but it is so so true. I also am in awe of what an amazing giveaway this is. I was saving up for a laptop when my husband was laid off, and our PC is definitely on the fritz. But still, as amazing as this would be to win, you’ve made me realize that it’s not really what is important. It’s these four boys that are in my care that are.

For Mother’s Day I want a day to myself…not even an entire 24 hours. Just a large chunk of time that I don’t have to take care of anyone else, or change anyone’s diaper, or diffuse a crisis with Hot Wheels and Play-Doh involving our garbage disposal …just a little time that I can use to spend taking a nap and worrying only about me. Moms don’t get days like that anymore. We don’t get days “off.”
Even when we aren’t working, we’re still mom.

This is one amazing laptop! I’d love to own it. It looks so sleek! The case is amazing as well. For Mother’s Day this year I wanted just to be with family. It was a wonderful day, we had lunch after church at moms and my brother and his family came over as well as my grandparents. There’s nothing like spending time together with those you love. And your right, mommyhood isn’t the most glamorous job in the world but it’s the best job!

For Mother’s Day, I got to sleep in as late as I wanted (which is a rare occurance) and my daughter made me 5 cards! We will make a nice dinner together and then we’re picking my mom up at the airport.

I like the light weight, portability, and that it converts to a tablet. I have never had a tablet laptop. Also all the Toshiba computers that I have used at work have been very reliable.

I’ve kept to the low margins of technology. I worked the census 10 years ago to buy my first desktop computer. I replaced that archaic dinosaur last spring with a newer desktop, but have never had a laptop. My grown kids and grandkids would think me super cool with the latest in laptop technology….I can’t get over that screen! This would be great for taking notes, or running to McD’s where they have free internet to compute and have a cup a java and look so sophisticated! This granny would just ooze technobabble and impress all her buddies….lol. It amazes me how fast technology changes and what new things come out!

For Mother’s Day I would like to shrink my kids, now ages 17 and 18, back to about ages 4 and 5. Those may have been the perfect ages. We had such fun the year and summer before the first one went to school. They were old enough to do a lot, but still wide-eyed with wonder.

Well, Mother’s Day is mostly over at this point and it hasn’t gone at all how I envisioned it. Honestly, it rarely ever does. I had really wanted to sleep in (nope). Wake up migraine and pain free (I have Fibromyalgia) (wrong again). I wanted G, my 9yr old very special needs son, to have a relatively good day (nada). Take a nap (no cigar). Avoid chores and cooking (check). I guess one out of five isn’t bad right?

I would like to start Mothers Day over and tell my son to “be careful” when he leaves the house today, because he got stopped by the HW patrol and given a speeding ticket and we won’t even mention the speed he was caught at but he got the keys to his car taken away for the rest of the school year and he is very SAD!!
I got a nice day (other than that!)and got to clean my sewing room and talk to my two girls and I would love a new laptop as mine is dying….

I am working on a computer that is 8 yrs old. It has needed to be stripped down and re-worked twice in the last few years. A new computer would be a God send because this is my way of communicating with my brothers and sisters who do not live in the area. I do not have a job due to a health issue so this is a wonderful lifeline.

I’d love to win this lappy to replace my current Dell. Not to mention it would be VERY awesome to have a laptop that could run The Sims 3 so I won’t have to end up using the hubbies computer for it, lol!!
If I won this I’d keep it & give my current laptop to my mom so she wouldn’t have to worry about getting on my little sisters, not to mention that my sis will be leaving for college in a few months & my mom can not afford a computer & as much as I’d love to buy her one of her very own I can’t afford to.

My comment has more to do with your blog post than with what I would do, or about the product. Your post really touched me, because I have many days when I bemoan what could have been, and what my plans have been. My children are growing up, and will soon go away…and your post helped remind me that my raising them was achieving and giving more to the world by raising them as I have. What they do in life will be my proudest legacy. Thanks for the reminder of what is most important in life.

Well, here it is Mother’s Day and all I really wanted was a little extra sleep and some time to myself since I spend all week taking care of my 2-year-old and 4-month-old daughters. However, this didn’t happen because we had a death in the family this past week, however, the plus side was that I was able to spend Mother’s Day with my own mother, something that rarely happens and I was able to tell her how much I appreciate and love her. Thanks for the great giveaway!

Every spring since I retired 3 years ago, I dream of sipping coffee at dawn on my patio and reading emails and surfing the web. However, every time I get ahead enough in my budget to purchase a laptop, something else breaks down, like the air-conditioning. What an awesome giveaway! I will cross fingers and toes for this one. OH MY GOD!!!!! That is the most amazing laptop I have ever seen! I would LOVE that computer because the tablet aspect is really great. I would be able to get back into graphic designing because I used to love it so much, but a tablet would be so helpful! I hope I win this!!!

This is an amazing prize, and I don’t have to tell you how I would use it twenty hours a day because you already know that, right?
For Mother’s Day my biggest wish was to take a week with the kids and go to Hilton Head. They are getting older and soon there will be spouses and children and life getting in the way. I want to grab them while I still can, cram them all in the van, and go on a road trip to Hilton Head. I want to hold them captive for a week of the beaches and the jacuzzi and restaurant. I want to enjoy us all as a family who laughs together a lot. I want to beg them to freeze, just like they are, forever. So we’re going soon, as soon as the high school punk is out of school for the year. There’s no better Mother’s Day gift in the whole history of the world.

What an awesome laptop!! I have wanted a laptop for so long now, I feel strapped to my desktop and a super cool laptop like this would be a fantastic Mom’s Day gift!! I homeschool both our boys (the oldest graduating – Class of ‘09 woo-hoo!) and with all the school work, personal stuff and research I’m doing every single day I hardly ever leave my desk!!

I had a wonderful mothers day spent with my family outdoors in beautiful weather. I hope your mother’s day was wonderful as well. I could really use a laptop and not have to worry about my little ones running away with the mouse or wireless keyboard. I like that laptops can be folded up and put away and the write on tablet sounds amazing (especially the times I sit on this computer wondering where the mouse has gone). I don’t really have a wish for Mothers Day, unless it would be to have the kids do things without being asked.
Toshiba makes a great computer and I like the portability and adjustability this model offers. I would use it in my classroom to show students some of the great info I’ve found to supplement what we’re learning.

The features I look for in a laptop bag include a shoulder strap, multiple pockets or compartments to keep things organized, and room for things like pens and eyeglasses. It sure doesn’t hurt if the bag is cute, too.

In a laptop bag, I look for one that has good cushioning to protect my laptop. I like when there are bands inside to secure the laptop in place so that it does not slide around during travel. Laptop bags should also have extra pockets to store cords and chargers in. Also, I love laptop bags that are stylish and sleek!

Wow, amazing giveaway!! We had to move our desktop out of the living room, on the desk and into our bedroom, on the floor. With 4 kids, the oldest of which is 4 1/2, this is not the idea location for our computer. I would LOVE to have a laptop to be able to cruise around the house, keeping one eye on the screen and one eye on the children! Part of my mother’s day treat is to just sit here, on the floor, browsing the web! My kids are asleep and my husband is cleaning the kitchen! Glad to have stumbled upon you!

My mother is a principal, a teacher, a guidance counselor, etc at her growing school, Precious Minds Montessori and High School. And I could proudly say that for the past thirty years or so of her life, she has not been only a mother to us but also to hundreds of children who came into her life.
Believe me or not, she runs this school without a machine assisting her. Yes, she doesn’t even have her own personal computer. Everything she does, she does it manually. She has published so many books by writing every letter down on a piece of paper before asking us, her children, to type them for her. And she doesn’t even get tired of doing it, because for her this means helping every child to explore the vast universe out there and learn from it.
If I would accidentally utter a word that would disqualify this entry, I am very sorry. But my heart really goes out to my mother. Nobody deserves it more than her. Oh well, with the kind of heart that she has, she might also give it away to somebody who needs it more than she does. But this is your confidence. My mother is an open channel of God’s blessings poured out into her life. And if this laptop was meant for her, I believe she will be using it to bless all the children who have been placed under her care. And if not, then in time, it will be in the hands of the one who has been destined to have it.

What a blessing this post is reminding us to cherish the legacy we are creating through our children. I would love to be able to win this awesome prize to give to my Mother. She can’t afford to buy a computer and the hand me down one I gave her died recently. She lives four hours away and loves to keep up with all that we are doing by looking at the photos on my family blog and the scrapbook pages I share with her but she hasn’t been able to do this because she doesn’t have a computer. This laptop and bag are awesome. I work outside the home, but regularly use a laptop when I need to stay home with the kids. Since mine is getting old, I could sure use a new one! The tablet feature is something I’ve never tried, but would love to!

What an awesome gift! I love that tablet feature on the Toshiba, would sure love to give that a try! For Mother’s Day, my husband and children are going to clean the basement. I know that doesn’t sound so exciting, but when we moved into this house, I lost my scrapbooking room. Now I have scrapbooking stuff all over the basement with no organization. My mother-in-law just left last night. While she was here, she was using our computer – we couldn’t get her off it! She has a really really old computer and needs a new one bad. I love to draw and have wanted a laptop forever. This would be so cool that I could draw on the screen. I want to create my own tee shirt designs so this could get me started. I tried using paint for this but you just don’t have the control that a digital pen would give you. The portability of this unit is also a big plus. I could take it with me wherever I go and work on my designs.

Ok, This is the most awesome Laptop I have ever seen. Of course you would have to know that I am a newbie to all things related to Computers. I bought my first computer a few years ago. My brother was in awe that I was joining the computer age. He stopped while I was at work and hooked my new desktop all up for me, Imagine his shock when I had to call him at 11 at night to say.. ” Hi!! ummm wondering HOw do I turn this thing on?”
My mom has a Toshiba laptop, nothing as fancy as the giveaway, I couldn’t figure out how to open it at first.. I know how now. She would love a new computer. She uses hers mostly to keep in touch with all of her siblings who live many miles away from her. Different states.

I would love to win this laptop because of the tablet functionality. I tend to do a lot of graphics work in Photoshop and Illustrator and have always wanted to be able to just draw or move items around with a stylus because it seems like it would be much faster than using a mouse for me. Plus I like to take notes and now I use my phone to keep notes in MS OneNote but would love to be able to freehand them and still keep everything digital.

Extravaganza is right – WOW! Thanks for the opportunity to win such a fantastic prize. When I got my first laptop (ahem, years ago) I looked at the tablets, but they were very new. I went with a huge screen w/keypad instead. Now I think portability is a better option for my lifestyle. A digital pen, touchscreen – sounds like cool features.
I got goosebumps when I read your first few paragraphs on this post. I, too, am a stay-at-home mom with a master’s degree. I, too, agree with you completely that raising our children is the most important thing we will ever do. I’ve often thought that if everyone would just work on improving their little corner of the world, it would solve so many problems. If we would only take better care of our children, in ten years the world would be an amazing, amazing place. This is how to change the world – one child at a time.

I love spending time with my kids, but sometimes work calls…a regular laptop would have my kids typing at the same time I’m trying to, making a whole lot of gibberish!! With the tablet feature,I think I’d be able to do what I need to do with less interference from my “helpers”.

I’m a jotter. I love jotting notes to myself about “big ideas,” so it wasn’t that surprising (although kind of funny) that I started jotting notes about a book I plan to write during the wee hours of the night while nursing my newborn. (Written in the dark – you should see them!) I think the tablet pc concept is fantastic.
As my kids get a little bigger, and I find the right program fit, I would really like to go back to school and earn my terminal degree in education. I’ve never been able to justify the expense of a laptop for myself, but I know that having that portability (and something I can jot on!) would help me fulfill my goals.
In addition to raising three wonderful little people, I’d really like them to see me work hard to achieve this dream. This would be incredible to win. Thanks for the amazing opportunity!

This is fabulous! I love your post. You are a great writer. I personally think that raising your children to become good citizens is THE most important job you can have. It all starts at home and how they are taught. I guarantee it is much more important than being a doctor or professor.

Wow what a great laptop. We were going strong on our old heavy Dell up until two weeks ago when it decided that it had done enough for us and wasn’t going to do anything anymore unless it did so as slowly as possible. So sad. So we are going to have to save up money for a new laptop unless we win this one

Wow! What a great prize for Mother’s Day. I hope you had a fabulous day. I know some moms like a day off without kids for their special day but I prefer to spend the whole day with my family. In the morning my husband treated me to a beautiful new wrist watch and a mother’s day card. He crossed out a bunch of the words on the card to create a personalized message with tons of inside jokes about our kids. I laughed until tears were rolling. I think I liked that better than the watch! After that we all went out to brunch and then to church. It was a fun and relaxing day.

Wow, this is some super giveaway.Needed, too. My desttop model is about on its last leg. I get so many error messages that its not funny anymore. I can’t access any of my documents it wants some long code that has about 20 numbers or letters, that are hidden from me. It would be so great to win this and start over. I live by myself since I retired but I’m not able to get out much and can’t drive anymore so most of my time is spend on the computer. I’ve been reading Feminine Appeal but Carolyn Mahaney (sp?) and the last chapter I read was about the woman’s place in the home and the importance of the job of home maker. I would love to get a laptop for Mother’s Day. I’m going into hospital for a hysterectomy soon. I don’t want to be “unplugged” from the net! I love the way the screen can swivel on this model. I really think the adjustable screen on this is really neat! Mother’s day is over and I had a fantastic day. My one daughter called to wish me a happy Mother’s day and the one who lives locally brought my granddaughter over and spent the day with me. It was really nice.

I am working on my Ph.D, and I have a toddler in the house. So many people tell me it should be a ‘piece of cake’ to go to school…obviously these people have never tried to do so, with an active, happy toddler in the house. Right now, I’m stuck at my desk top computer, which means when I do homework, baby is stuck in this room with me. I’d love to have a lap top so when I’m doing homework, baby can be happy going from place to place, instead of being cooped up in the dining room (where the computer is).

Well Mother’s Day was yesterday but what I’m still hoping for is a day to just relax. No running, screaming or hairpulling and that would be just me …. LOL for the boys I would for hubs to have a day off to take them and let me have this quiet day to myself! I guess I would just enjoy an hour and half if possible … LOL
. Yup and I would use that time to blog and read emails, what can I say I’m addicted and need a new computer so I can browse even more! LOL

I need a laptop sooo bad! I would use the laptop to work online at home and then to read all my friends’ blogs! This looks like an awesome laptop that can do lots of tricks! Thanks!

Last year I got my mom a Toshiba laptop. She loved it! Toshiba makes great laptops, but this one is over the top. Since I didn’t get a Mother’s Day present, this would be awesome. Thank you, Lisa

The Toshiba laptop screen can be turned different positions, how cool is that. It also comes with a laptop bag. The laptop bag is small and comfortable for me to carry the laptop. It would like to own a laptop and not use my neighbors or pay to use one in a internet store. It would be nice if I could connect to friends and family, browse the web, check my emails and use it for college homework and projects. I know today isn’t Mother’s Day but I am happy to be a mom. The best gift I got is my son. I love to see him smile, walk, and crawl. I wouldn’t change motherhood for the world. It’s a great
experience. It would be nice for me to have this laptop, I have many purposes for it. My son is a year old. When my son gets older, he could use it too:)

For Mother’s day we spent the day at the beach and I have such a relaxing time with my children. The best part was they didn’t fight once. I would love to have this laptop and this giveaway actually ends on my birthday so I am double crossing my fingers and hoping to be the lucky winner.

My only daughter did not acknowledge me on Mother’s Day. The first time in her 17 years. She has become difficult the last couple of months and has decided she doesn’t want a mom anymore. Well, she is what I wanted for the day and like they say “you don’t always get what you want”. I am trying not to take it too personally as I know she is going through the freedom/independence phase. I should count myself lucky I didn’t have to deal with that for years! It is sad but I love her and I will get through this and so will she. Tough times. The laptop would come in handy as she has one and I would like to be on top of it if she contacts me. I often miss emails, IM’s or phone calls. She doesn’t reply too quickly if you miss her. Well, thanks for the chance and wish me luck with the girl, won’t you? Diane

Hello, I posted the Toshiba Portege M750 giveaway in my facebook. Mother’s Day is very special to me because this is my first Mother’s Day. I am happy that my husband has gave me red roses, on Mother’s Day. It makes me feel happy, I am the mother of his child. Being a mother are the special moments, I share with my son. Seeing him as a baby and then growing into an adult. Is what I call a Happy Mother’s Day years and years to come. That is one cool laptop!! I would love to get a laptop or kindle for a Mother’s Day. That’s probably not going to happen, but this year we had a video game tournament and it was fun. Nice to just spend time with them while I can.
