It’s been two months.
Of sweetness. And snuggles. And pure delight.
In many ways, it seems like I just gave birth to you yesterday.
And yet, I can’t imagine our family without you.
You have brought peace into our house. You’re just the calmest and most observant little thing.
And your smiles – oh, your thoughtful smiles – how they melt my heart and brighten my days.
You sleep so well at night (6-10 hour stretches)…so well that I almost want to wake you and pull you into bed with me. Almost. But not quite.
You like to watch your big sister during the day…and you seem unaffected by her squeezes (“I want to hug her!“) and pinches (“I want to hold her!”) and squeals (“I love her SO much! She’s my BEST friend!“). You are mesmerized by her. I have a feeling that you two are going to be the best of friends.
You are lovely. You are fun. You are soft. You are dear.
I just want to hold you near. I love you so very much.

Ahh — 2 months already? I know we don’t know each other in real life, but I started following you days after you had her and it just doesn’t seem possible for her to be 2 months…plus that means my little one is approaching 8 months (Saturday!) and that doesn’t seem real either!
Calm and observant indeed. And might I add absolutely adorable? Looks like you captured the first hints of a smile up there in that corner picture. Such precious times.

Aw, I can’t believe how big your little munchkin is already! Slightly jealous of her long stretches of sleep! (ok, a LOT jealous! my little hungry boy likes to eat every 2 hours all night long!!!)
