5 Stocking Stuffer Ideas: for Her

    By Stephanie | December 18, 2009

If you’re looking for some fun, fabulous, + functional stocking stuffer ideas for her, you’ve come to the right place.

Here are five ideas to get your wheels turning:

    magnapodsMagnaPods ($7.99-$9.99)

If you only have one more stocking stuffer to get, THIS should be it. At first glance, it looks kind-of cheesy and informercial-ish. But I can assure you that these “magnetic organizers for your home” are all that and a bag of chips (Did I just say that? Writing at 1:22am is probably not the best idea).

Really, though. These high quality plastic containers that magnetically adhere to the inside of your steel-framed medicine cabinet door are BRILLIANT. My husband actually loves them too because my make-up is no longer scattered all over the bathroom counter. My lipsticks, mascaras, and brushes are all lined up neatly inside our medicine cabinet – within quick reach, yet out-of-sight.

If you don’t get some in your stocking, you might just want to buy some for yourself. They are an innovative organization tool that is ideal for any woman.

skin food by weledaSkin Food by Weleda ($10 for 1-ounce)

I wouldn’t be surprised if this rich, 100% organic “hydrating cream” (a fancy term for lotion) ends up on Oprah. I used it liberally on my legs, arms, elbows, and hands…with great results. It’s thick and luxurious, yet it doesn’t leave a residue. I just used up the last of my tube last night and I’m missing it already.

Weleda also has a wonderful Pomegranate Regenerating Hand Cream that is great for tired, dry, winter-y hands. I’ve been using it nightly.

    hair barrettesHair Accessories by Goody

Goody sells hair ties, barrettes, headbands, scarves, and hair styling tools. The collections span a variety of distinct “personalities” – there are products for sporting events, a night out, or a cruise vacation…all at affordable prices and all available at your nearby grocery/discount store.

maraschino-cherries-tillen-farmsMaraschino Cherries by Tillen Farms ($6.99/14-ounce jar)

The past few days my 3-year-old has been asking for “a cherry, please.” She is referring to Tillen Farms’ Merry Maraschino Cherries – cherries that are completely free of artificial colors, artificial flavors, sulfites, and preservatives.

Now that I’ve had these cherries, I think I might “turn my nose up” a bit at the fake kind you buy in the grocery store aisles. These are much better – yet they still are sublimely sweet. Perfect for making shirley temples and decadent desserts.

    sonicare flexcare+Sonicare FlexCare+ by Philips

I tried a manual toothbrush and then I tried Philips’ Sonicare FlexCare+…and there is NO COMPARISON. When you brush with a Sonicare, your teeth feel smooth and slippery and sparkly. I roll my tongue across my teeth and it feels like I just went to the dentist. No wonder my dentist recommended this brush to me!

With its built-in timer functionality, you can be assured that you brushing long enough. It’s also rechargeable, which makes maintenance a breeze. Plus, it comes with a UV brush head sanitizer that kills up to 99% of bacteria and viruses on the brush head (germaphobes, celebrate!).

Despite the steep cost ($190), I often recommend the brush to friends & family because I’m convinced that it may actually be CHEAPER in the long run. The question to ask yourself is this: wouldn’t you rather pay more now to avoid costly dental check-ups and operations in the future? I know that I would – not only to save money, but also to save my mouth any unneeded agony.

WIN IT! One winner will receive:

ESTIMATED RETAIL VALUE OF PRIZE PACK: $270!

Oh, I would love those MagnaPods. I will say that it’s a bad idea to store your makeup in the bathroom, though. The moisture leads to gross things brewing in your mascara, foundation, etc!! Ewww!!

I’ve never heard of magnapods, they sound wonderful! And the sonicare flexcare sounds great; I spend ages brushing my teeth each morning – perhaps a little obsessive here – and I sometimes wonder if I’m scraping my teeth clean at the expense of my gums. It sounds like a good idea to get the job done – and have a timer tell me when to quit!

Great giveaway! I used to own a Sonicare a long time ago. My dentist has told me I need to get another one! ;) Merry Christmas!

We don’t even have our stockings hung (how sad is that?) but I would love to find these in mine! I love maraschino cherries but normally think all the weird fake stuff in them is gross… and what a cool toothbrush! My dentist would be so proud.

Seriously, those cherries sound pretty awesome. You won’t judge me too badly if I eat all 4 jars right?

Those are great ideas! I love the MagnaPods idea. I have never seen anything like it! Would be great for the kids too.
My dental hyg. keeps recommending a SoniCare!

Mmm…cherries, for Christmas cocktails. Wonderful! This year, toasty mitts are also a highly desired item for my stocking. Merry Christmas to you!

I can’t say I have ever craved cherries until reading this post. Since I first saw it, I have wanted some! You can’t go wrong with a Sonicare, but as a fellow curly haired gal, I think hair accessories are always a nice addition to the madness that is my hair!

An electic toothbrush is actually on my list this year. I like the MagnaPods idea, just wish I had a medicine cabinet to use them in.
I like using kitchen accessories for stocking stuffers for my mom.

I’ve tried other electric toothbrushes before and didn’t like how they vibrated against my teeth. I’d love to give the sonicare a try. The others were just cheap ones that didn’t last long.

The Magnapods sound like a great idea. Our masterbathroom is super tiny, so I’m always looking for space-saving ideas. Thanks for the idea. Merry Christmas!

OK, I would eat all of the maraschino cherries, forget about giving any away!! I have never tried any other kind of toothbrush besides the ones that I get from the dentist, but I am way into oral care (never had a cavity) so I would love to try the Sonicare. Plus I would really need it after eating all of those cherries!
      Merry Christmas!

Such great goodies! I currently use some baby Weleda products on my son and love them..I would love to try Skin Food. My hands are cracking due to dryness even thought I use hand cream, this sounds more heavy duty!

I actually printed this post out and put it where my husband would see it right after you first posted. I’ll have to see if he took any hints from what you had listed. It would be too funny if these 5 things were all that was in my stocking!! Knowing him I might get some lotion and dark chocolate along with a few practical items.

My detist recommended the Sonicare also. A friend who uses it raves about it.

I’ve always loved maraschino cherries but was put off by its scary neon color so Tillen Farms’ Merry Maraschino Cherries sounds great! The MagnaPods are one for those “Why didn’t I think of that?” products, I’m going to get some for my sister!
