A few things…
I’m making a few changes to my SLY Awards program based on your feedback and my experience. Going forward, I’ll have a SLY winner every week or two, but each winner will receive 1-2 products/prizes. 1-2 posts is much more do-able and then I don’t have to dilute my content with too much brand stuff. Perfect, right? PLUS, I can honor + celebrate more golden-hearted people this way.
In other news, Metropolitan Mama has a Facebook page (and a facebook button on the left sidebar – thanks, Tim!). I’m going to start automatically having my tweets appear on my FB page so if you’ve always wondered what kind of wonderful stuff I post on Twitter, now you can find out without being on Twitter (even though, you really should consider starting a twitter account). Plus, watch for exclusive contests and cool discussions happening there.
I’m running in a 5K this Saturday. Wish me luck and strong lungs and perseverance and all that. I haven’t been running regularly so this could be interesting. It’s all for a good cause though (the local school district) and there are jumping castles at the finish line. Fun.
I’ve been doing some brainstorming/preliminary planning for an AZ blogger meetup – something casual and friendly and fun. Want to be there? Be sure to make yourself known so that I can send you an invite when that time comes. I’d love to meet you.

It’s nice not to have to talk brands all day even though the quality of the brands you rate are really great!
Congrats on the FB page, I use that much more than twitter…but I think it’s because so many of my friends are there and not on twitter (they don’t have blogs either). It’s funny….some people I see 3 times a week but I still love to see their status updates!

I love the SLY and I think the way you plan to continue is a wonderful idea. You reward those you choose with a few goodies without clogging your blog up with JUST those posts. I think its a perfect compromise. Can’t wait to “meet” the person you choose next.
