Our almost-8-month-old generally eats everything we do (in teeny, tiny bites). She’s tried roasted bell peppers, lamb, salmon, smoothies, mangoes, cheeses, carrots, sweet potatoes, beans, enchiladas, spaghetti, and bananas.

She enjoys these new foods perched in her table seat, looking around the table and swinging her feet. She even tries to join the conversation from time to time, giving great big smiles with her two tiny bottom teeth on display.

The Fast Table Chair lives up its name. It’s fast to set up, easy to travel with, and a wonderful space saver.

Unlike a traditional highchair, the table chair doesn’t take up valuable floorspace in your kitchen. With just a few quick twists, we can attach the chair to most types of tables without leaving marks or scratches. Note that it won’t necessarily work on flimsier camping and restaurant tables.

We especially appreciate that the cover can be removed and machine-washed. A necessity for all baby gear, in my opinion.

    I think this is the answer to the high chair i’ve been looking for! The easy to travel with part is a must!!

    I’m anti high chair. I think they are expensive, take up too much space and are difficult to clean. We take the same approach as you and have our babies right at the table with us. In the early months we use our Bumbo seat on top of the table (always when we’re sitting right there) and then move them to a booster chair that fastens to our dining room chairs. But one of the ideas I love behind this seat is that it doesn’t take up a dining room chair. And with our growing family, we need all available chairs we can get!

    I bought a booster that attaches to a dining room chair this time around, and have to say, it fits the bill nicely. With our first two, I had a more traditional high chair that everyone who entered our house managed to trip over at least once (as I did, myself, daily). Never again. Would this type of chair work with a pedestal table I wonder? It probably would if you’re mindful of the weight distribution of the tabletop.

    we’ve been using a fisher price booster chair thta straps the baby in, has a tray and is all dishwasher washable. the high chair covers are so hard to keep clean. this looks like a great idea too.

    I love that the cover is washable! Definitely a must. We are also not fans of huge high chairs that take up space!

    This chair would work perfectly in my home. We have one, but the clamping arms are so long, it will not fit at our bar. Useless. I need to find someone who has a deep bar overhang and need for a clamp-on high chair.

    I am curious about these chairs. I’m sure this doesn’t happen, because they are so popular, but I can’t help but imagining there being so much weight on one side of the table, and it tipping over! It’s what I envision every time I think of it! But, somehow, I don’t think you (or anyone) would recommend the chair if that were an issue. Haha.
