Welcome to Metropolitan Mama’s Christmas Gift Guide for Boys (ages 5-7). Below you will find clothes, shoes, toys, gear, and games that young boys are bound to love for Christmas 2022.
Once upon a time, when I had three little girls, I couldn't wrap my mind around what would it be like to dress a little boy. When our fourth child was a boy, I was pleasantly surprised to find that boys' clothing options are actually incredibly fun. Appaman is a boutique brand, based in New York City, which offers well-fitting and design-strong pieces for children in sizes 2T through 14.

Carter's consistently puts out quality pieces each new season. Our family can always count on Carter's for stylish pieces for babies up through age 14+. When we need jeans, tees, sweaters, or school uniforms, we inevitably end up looking at this time-tested brand (or sister brand OshKosh).

Over the years, I have learned that not all educational workbooks are created equal. Often workbooks with splashy covers and intriguing promises are disorganized and non-sequential. Kumon's workbooks are different because they focus on one subject at a time and are intelligently ordered so that students progress incrementally, each skill building on the last one to ensure mastery. For the 5-7 age range, you might want to consider books about phonics, telling time, addition, word games, money, rhyming words, pasting, mazes, and much more.
It's a slipper! It's a sneaker! It's a boot! It's - all three! The ADVAY kids boot by Koolaburra by UGG is a triple threat. This ankle-height, lace-up boot has a soft suede exterior and a cozy faux fir interior, making it a great school or dress shoe option for the winter months.
For a WOW gift for a young boy (ages 5-10), consider the REAL tools by Stanley Jr. Designed to be safe for little hands, the 10-piece set comes with: two Phillips screwdrivers, a hammer, a tape measurer, a bar clamp, a file, a handsaw, a ruler, safety goggles, and a tool belt! There is also a matching workbench (sold separately), which can be used for a variety of carpentry, construction, and craft projects. Girls will love these gifts also!
The Eyelike Sticker book series by Workman Publishing is on-point. Each sticker book has 400 lifelike stickers on a particular topic. Reusable and collectible, these stickers can be placed on letters, lunch boxes, or notebooks.
See how high you can bounce the Koosh ball on your own or try and bounce it back and forth with a friend for as long as you can! The paddles are lightweight and have plenty of bounce-ability for maximum enjoyment.
